Microsoft Office or Office Only is a family of client software, server software, and services developed by Microsoft. It was first announced by Bill Gates on August 1, 1988 at COMDEX in Las Vegas. Previously, the marketing concept of Office Suite (a suite of high productivity applications) included the first version of Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Over the years, Office applications have come very close to common features such as standard scripting, OLE data integration and Visual Basic of scripting language. Microsoft also positions Office Business as a software development platform under the Office Business Applications brand. On July 10, 2012, Softpedia announced that the agency is being used by more than a billion people worldwide.
The office is available in different versions for end users that differ from the computing environment. The most popular and widely used version is the desktop version, which is available for PCs with Windows and MacOS systems. Microsoft also has mobile applications for Android and iOS. Office Web is a version of the software that uses the web browser.
Since Office 2013, Microsoft has developed Office 365 as a primary way to access Microsoft Office: it allows other apps and services to be used in the business registration model, and users get free access to software during the registration period, as well as features new features and cloud computing that cannot be recorded. Office web versions sold under license terms. In 2017, Office 365 revenues exceeded regular license sales.
