The year was 1925. The Burbanks Brothers were a wealthy cattle rancher in Montana. Heading to the market at the Red Mill restaurant, the brothers met Rose’s widowed owner and her wonderful son, Peter. Phil is so cruel that the two tear them apart, enjoy their pain, and make the cowboys – his friends laugh – all but his brother George, who calms Rose down and then returns to marry her. As Phil rushes between anger and cunning, his taunts against Rose take a strange form – it floats at the edge of his vision, embedding the way he can no longer play. His gaze on his son was more open, amplified by the cheers of Phils Cowhand’s followers. Then apparently Phil carried the boy under his wing.
